Annapurna Base Camp
Annapurna base camp trek starts in Pokhara and follows the Modi River valley passing through rhododendron and bamboo forests. You’ll enjoy the big mountain views as you ascend through villages and terraced farmland to the alpine environments found at the higher elevations around base camp. Finally you enter the Annaputna Sanctuary, high glacial basin at an altitude of over 4000 metres surrounded by a ring of mountains, the Annapurna range, most of which are over 7000 metres. During the trek you will enjoy the hospitality of the local Gurung people and their ethnic culture.
